Requirements:
1. Understanding the testing process and software life-cycle stages;
2. Skills in working with database servers, SQL scripts;
3. Knowledge and basic skills in setting OS Windows XP/2003;
4. Knowledge and expertise in working with MS Office (Word, Excell, Access, Outlook), Ethernet/Internet, WEB;
5. Knowledge of one of bug-tracking systems (TestTrack Pro, JIRA) is an advantage;
6. Command of English: reading and writing technical documentation.
Preferred skills:
1. Understanding the basic principles of object oriented programming, knowledge of one of the object oriented programming languages (data types, operators, basic algorithms);
2. Knowledge of the WEB technologies, network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP);
3. Awareness of different types of testing, writing automated tests;
4. Skills in writing test documentation (test cases).
Important personal traits: sociability, organization, responsibility, scrupulousness, analytical thinking, ability to work in team.
Tester responsibilities:
1. Different kinds of software testing (manual, automated, load);
2. Non-standard situations modeling in, setting environments for software testing;
3. Work with project documentation, writing test documentation;
4. Communication with the programmers to detect the reasons of defects;
5. Reporting on found defects;
6. Participation in program solutions analysis and design according to the customer requirements.
